Georgia-German Business Forum

On June 15, 2016, HeidelbergCement participated in the Georgia-Germany Business Forum “Trade and Business with Georgia”, held in Berlin. 

The forum was opened by Georgian Prime Minister, Giorgi Kvirikashvili, who is paying an official visit to Germany. After the prime minister’s speech, General Director of HeidelbergCement Caucasus, Michael Hampel, as a panelist, made a special presentation about the company and the Georgian market.

Among the other attendants were more than 100 German and 30 Georgian companies representing the sectors of transit of goods, logistics, construction, telecommunications, tourism, agriculture, production, as well as legal, financial and bank services. The panel discussion was followed by B2B platform and Georgian Wine expo and photo exhibition.

The Georgian-German business forum was organized by the EU-Georgia Business Council (EUGBC) with the support of the Association of European Chambers of Commerce and Industry. The forum was aimed at deepening economic partnership between Georgia and Germany.
